Three Missouri men were charged in March 2026 with stealing and selling cattle stolen in September 2025.
Three Missouri men—Jerry S. Barnett, Justin L. Emery, and Jared D. Mings—were charged in March 2026 with livestock theft and stealing after a months-long investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The case stems from the September 2025 theft of cattle from an out-of-state owner, with authorities alleging Barnett orchestrated the theft and enlisted Emery and Mings to sell the animals in July and August 2025.
Warrants were issued on March 5, leading to arrests in March: Barnett on the 9th, Mings on the 11th, and Emery on the 17th.
All face felony charges and are held on bonds between $2,500 and $3,500.
Court dates are pending.
