Paramount has confirmed "Sonic the Hedgehog 4" will premiere in theaters on March 19, 2027, with Jim Carrey returning as Dr. Robotnik, Ben Schwartz as Sonic, and Kristen Bell voicing Amy Rose. The film, directed by Jeff Fowler, also features Idris Elba as Knuckles, Keanu Reeves as Shadow, and new cast members Ben Kingsley, Nick Offerman, Matt Berry, and Richard Ayoade. A teaser reveals the return of the Chaos Emeralds and Metal Sonic, hinting at time travel or alternate timelines. An untitled spinoff film is set for December 2028.
