The State is still determining the age of a Somali national accused of murdering 17-year-old Ukrainian refugee Vadym Davydenko, who was stabbed at a Dublin care facility on October 15, 2025.
The accused, a minor whose identity is protected, has given conflicting accounts, claiming his documents are false due to instability in Somalia and at times stating he is 17.
The case, now before the Central Criminal Court, remains pending as Tusla continues assessing his age, with a hearing adjourned to a later date in March 2026.
