Sandals Resorts is spending $200 million to renovate three hurricane-damaged Jamaican resorts, reopening them in late 2026 with major upgrades.
Sandals Resorts International is investing $200 million in a major renovation of three closed Jamaican resorts—Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean, and Sandals South Coast—damaged by Hurricane Melissa in October 2025.
The upgrades, part of a broader “Sandals 2.0” initiative, include redesigned entrances, new accommodations, updated pools and dining, and enhanced guest areas.
Reopening dates have been delayed to November 18, 2026, for Sandals South Coast and December 18, 2026, for the other two.
The company is using the closure as a chance to reimagine the properties with a focus on innovation and improved guest experience.
