Odisha begins digital housing census April 16, 2026, with door-to-door surveys and online submissions.
Odisha will launch the first phase of its digital house listing and housing census on April 16, 2026, across all 30 districts, running through May 15.
Over 100,000 trained enumerators and 17,282 supervisors will conduct door-to-door surveys using mobile apps, collecting data on residential and non-residential structures.
Residents can also submit information online from April 1 to 15 via a dedicated portal.
The survey covers 33 questions on housing and demographics, developed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, and is part of India’s first fully digital census with self-enumeration.
The effort, led by the Odisha government and Union Ministry of Home Affairs, includes a large-scale training program and uses digital tools like the CMMS Portal.
