On March 12, 2026, the High Sheriff of Cumbria, Dr. Geoff Jolliffe, honored nine local charities and volunteer groups at Brougham Hall in Penrith, presenting certificates and £8,070 in grant funding through the High Sheriff’s Fund.
Three organizations—4Eden, Camp JoJo, and Greengate Junior School—received the High Sheriff’s Shield for their work supporting individuals with learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and families of children with complex needs.
Other recipients included the Cumbria Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs and Unseen Victims, which aids family members affected by crime.
