A Louisiana woman died in a head-on crash after another woman allegedly drove impaired and crossed the center line.
A 47-year-old Ponchatoula woman, Jessica Cannatella, died in a head-on crash on Louisiana Highway 1085 in St. Tammany Parish on Tuesday, March 17, after a 38-year-old Abita Springs woman, Holly Williams, allegedly crossed the center line while impaired.
Cannatella, who was not wearing a seat belt, died from fatal injuries.
Williams, who was restrained, and her unrestrained passenger sustained moderate injuries and were hospitalized.
Williams was arrested on multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated, and will be booked after release.
Toxicology tests were conducted, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
