A Kenyan court halted the transfer of Raphael Tuju’s Sh450M Karen property after a legal challenge, pending resolution of a dispute between Tuju and buyer Ultra Eureka.
A Kenyan court has paused the transfer of former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju’s Karen property, valued at Sh450 million, following his legal challenge to a 2024 public auction.
The East African Development Bank sold the land, linked to Dari Limited, after a default on a $9.3 million loan.
Ultra Eureka Limited, the winning bidder, claims it paid in full, received transfer documents, and was registered as owner in February 2025.
The company says it took possession in March 2026, triggering a confrontation with over 50 armed men allegedly linked to Tuju, prompting police intervention.
While Ultra Eureka asserts it is the lawful owner and that Tuju’s rights were extinguished, the court has delayed final transfer pending a hearing.
The dispute remains unresolved.
