The team, training in Kolkata ahead of departure on March 20, has undergone extensive preparation, including a month-long camp in Sweden where they played against European clubs, gaining experience despite a 6-0 loss to Hammarby IF.
They also secured wins and draws in friendlies against Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, improving their physical and tactical readiness.
With strong team cohesion from over a year of continuous training, the squad, under coach Joakim Alexandersson, has adopted an attacking style focused on confidence and enjoyment.
The top two in Group C and two best third-place teams advance to the quarter-finals, with the winners qualifying for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
