Honda India expands Rajasthan plant, adding 670K units capacity by 2028, creating 2,000 jobs.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is investing ₹1,500 crore to expand its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan with a new production line set to launch in 2028, adding 670,000 units to its annual capacity and raising total output to 2.01 million units.
The project, which includes acquiring 73,700 square meters of land, will produce commuter scooters and motorcycles, create over 2,000 jobs, and support regional growth.
This follows expansions at other Indian plants, with HMSI aiming to increase its total production capacity to 8 million units by FY2028.
The company emphasized sustainability efforts, including solar energy and recycling, to support its global carbon neutrality goal by 2050.
