Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reported a minor shortage of commercial LPG affecting hotels and restaurants, stating he would raise the issue with the central government. The concern has prompted coordinated efforts among several states, including Karnataka, to ensure stable LPG supply amid regional energy tensions. Two Indian LPG tankers and one crude oil tanker safely reached Gujarat after crossing the Strait of Hormuz, while India continues naval operations under 'Operation Sankalp'. The central government is accelerating piped natural gas infrastructure to encourage commercial users to switch from LPG.
