Clarence, a respected Brisbane restaurant, has opened a new 60-seat location at Fish Lane in South Brisbane, moving from its original Woolloongabba site. Designed by Alkot Studio, the space features ribbed timber, globe pendant lights, green and white tiles, and upholstered seating. Led by chefs Ben McShane and Matt Kuhnemann, the seasonal menu highlights local ingredients with dishes like venison, rock lobster, and dry-aged duck, paired with a wine list of nearly 100 Australian bottles. The new venue offers a more permanent, refined setting while maintaining the restaurant’s focus on quality and locality.
