A 21-year-old man from Northstowe, Jj Smith, was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison for a nine-month burglary spree across 15 Cambridgeshire villages from May to December 2025.
He stole thousands of pounds in items including garden tools, fishing gear, and a Seat Ateca, and attempted break-ins in several towns.
Smith pleaded guilty to 10 burglaries, four attempted burglaries, vehicle theft, dangerous driving, and other offenses, and was banned from driving for over four years.
Authorities said his crimes caused significant distress and escalated in severity, but were resolved through public cooperation and police persistence.
