Over 7,600 Salt River Project (SRP) customers in east Phoenix, including areas near Arcadia and Camelback East, lost power early Tuesday morning, with outages affecting multiple clusters between 40th and 68th Streets and from Camelback Road to the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway.
The power was restored before 7 a.m., earlier than the initial 8 a.m. estimate, though the cause remains unknown.
The outage was part of a broader pattern of disruptions across Arizona, including in Pima, Cochise, Pinal, and Yavapai counties, linked to weather and maintenance.
SRP is also considering a temporary 3% rate reduction for six months in 2026.
