An off-duty New York City police officer shot and critically injured a 30-year-old man in the Bronx on Monday night near 167 W. 231st St., according to authorities.
The incident occurred at 9:12 p.m., and the victim was rushed to NY Presbyterian Allen Hospital in critical condition.
