Nvidia launched the BlueField-4 STX storage architecture at GTC 2026, a new data center platform designed for agentic AI systems needing fast, continuous data access. Built on the Vera Rubin platform, it integrates networking, storage, and security in a single processor, offering up to five times higher token throughput and twice faster data ingestion. The system, adopted by major cloud providers and AI firms, uses the BlueField-4 processor and ConnectX-9 SuperNIC to reduce latency and boost efficiency. Supermicro and other manufacturers are developing STX-based servers, with platforms expected in late 2026.
