A Georgia mother was charged with endangering her child after drugs were found in her purse and her daughter tested positive for meth.
Michelle Renee Godsey, 44, of Decatur, was charged with chemical endangerment of a child after her daughter tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamines.
Authorities say Godsey admitted to using meth in a store bathroom and had drugs in her purse within reach of her child.
A hair follicle test confirmed the child’s exposure.
The arrest followed a joint investigation by Decatur police and Morgan County Department of Human Resources.
Godsey was booked into Morgan County Jail and released on a $5,000 bond.
