Abdullah Al Mamun, a 35-year-old Bangladeshi expatriate, died on March 17, 2026, in Saudi Arabia from severe burns sustained in an Iranian missile attack on a workers’ camp in Al Kharj on March 8.
The strike, occurring just before iftar during Ramadan, injured several workers and killed two other Bangladeshis.
Mamun, from Mymensingh, suffered burns over 90% of his body and passed away in Riyadh after days on life support.
His family and community mourn his death, calling for repatriation of his body.
This brings the total number of Bangladeshi nationals killed in the Middle East conflict to five.
