Audi is launching the all-electric A2 e-tron in autumn 2026 as its most affordable EV, built in Germany.

Audi is reviving its iconic A2 nameplate for a new all-electric hatchback, the A2 e-tron, set to debut in autumn 2026 and built in Ingolstadt, Germany. The compact, urban-focused EV draws inspiration from the original 2000 A2, emphasizing efficiency, lightweight design, and city-friendly practicality. It will be Audi’s most affordable electric vehicle, positioned below the A3, and built on the MEB+ platform shared with the VW ID.3 and Q4 e-tron. The model aims to expand access to premium electric mobility, targeting younger buyers and urban drivers. Alongside the A2 e-tron, Audi is launching the full-size Q9 SUV in 2026, reinforcing its electric and SUV expansion strategy.
