A UK man diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in 2025 is hiking Yorkshire peaks in 2026 to raise awareness and funds for faster diagnosis.
A 27-year-old civil engineer from Warrington, Cheshire, Luke Taylor, was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour in July 2025 after a decade of being told his severe headaches and sickness were migraines.
After insisting on an MRI, he underwent emergency surgery at Walton Hospital, Liverpool, followed by a second procedure due to a brain bleed.
By November 2025, doctors confirmed the entire tumour had been removed.
He now faces biannual scans for ten years.
In July 2026, he and his family will hike the three Yorkshire peaks to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Charity, advocating for faster diagnosis and greater awareness of neurological symptoms.
