Former NBA player Glen "Big Baby" Davis was released from prison on March 12, 2026, after serving 17 months of a 40-month sentence for fraud related to the NBA Players’ Health and Benefit Welfare Plan.
He was convicted in 2023 alongside other former players, including Will Bynum, in a scheme that allegedly defrauded the plan of over $5 million through false medical claims.
Davis, who played 10 seasons in the NBA and won a championship with the Boston Celtics, maintained his innocence.
He was released early after completing a documentary to help fund $80,000 in restitution.
He is now required to spend four months at the Long Beach Residential Reentry Management Office, attend financial and drug treatment programs, and comply with supervised release conditions.
