Ashley McFadden and Timothy Brockman were arrested in Tyler County on animal cruelty charges after 54 dogs were rescued from a severely neglected home in Colmesneil.
The investigation began February 8 when McFadden requested approval to house dogs, prompting deputies to find overcrowded, unsanitary conditions with dogs lacking food, water, and proper sanitation.
On March 9, officers returned to find multiple dead dogs—estimated at 15 to 20—hidden in plastic totes, coolers, and a wooded area, along with a decomposing carcass and hazardous methane levels.
Brockman admitted he failed to bury the dead dogs as required.
A seizure warrant was issued, leading to arrests and both being held on $70,000 bonds.
