flag Amazon rolls out 1- and 3-hour delivery in 2,000+ U.S. locations, with testing of 30-minute service underway.

Amazon has expanded its U.S. delivery options to include 3-hour and 1-hour shipping for select items like groceries, clothing, and medications in over 2,000 cities and towns. Prime members pay $4.99 for 3-hour delivery and $9.99 for 1-hour delivery, while nonmembers pay $14.99 and $19.99 respectively. The service, built on Amazon’s regionalized delivery network, robotics, and AI, began testing late last year and is now rolling out nationwide. The company is also testing a 30-minute delivery service, Amazon Now, in select U.S., U.K., India, Mexico, and UAE locations. Competitor Walmart now offers same-day delivery in under three hours for 95% of the U.S. population.
