A two-and-a-half-year-old girl died and her 7.5-year-old sister was hospitalized after a suspected gas leak at their home in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar Phase-3 on March 16. Police received a call at 2:19 PM reporting a chemical smell and two unconscious children. The younger, Sanna Khatun, was pronounced dead at Metro Hospital in Noida; her sister, Rafia Khatun, stabilized. Authorities found no signs of foul play, but preliminary reports indicate a possible leak near the gas regulator. An inquest has begun, and the investigation continues.
