A two-year-old dog abandoned with a severe leg injury was adopted after months of treatment and foster care.

A two-year-old lurcher named Dan, found abandoned in September 2025 with a severe, untreated leg injury, has been adopted after months of intensive care at Eden Animal Rescue. Rescued with a healed but misaligned radius fracture, contracted tendons, and a deep, infected wound, Dan received antibiotics, wound care, pain management, and physiotherapy. Despite setbacks, including a temporary return to the shelter, he improved over four months in foster care and was adopted in early 2026, quickly settling into a loving home. The rescue credited donor support for his recovery.
