Sydney's Hyper Karting to close after city denies license extension, prioritizing parking over entertainment despite low usage and new underground garage.
Sydney’s Hyper Karting, a rooftop electric go-kart track at the Entertainment Quarter, faces closure after the City of Sydney denied a two-year license extension, citing the need to restore 298 parking spaces.

Critics argue the decision contradicts plans to make the area a year-round entertainment hub, calling it short-sighted and out of step with community needs.
