Pakistan protests Bangladesh’s DRS review in final ball, claiming it violated protocol.
Pakistan has filed a formal complaint with match referee Neeyamur Rashid over Bangladesh’s use of a review for an LBW appeal on the second-last ball of the third ODI in Mirpur, alleging the review was taken after a replay was shown on the stadium screen, violating DRS protocols.
The delivery was initially called a wide, but Bangladesh reviewed it for LBW despite the ball missing the stumps.
Replays showed the ball hit Shaheen Afridi’s bat, leading to the overturn of the wide call.
Pakistan argues the review was influenced by the replay and may have exceeded the 15-second window, though no timer was visible.
The decision shifted the target to 12 runs off one ball, and Bangladesh won by 11 runs to take the series 2-1.
The PCB has not specified its requested action.
