Michael Sheen to host new season of BBC’s House of Games, replacing Richard Osman.

Michael Sheen has been named the new host of BBC Two’s House of Games, succeeding Richard Osman after nine years. The Welsh actor, 57, known for roles in Frost/Nixon and The Damned United, will make his debut later in 2026, bringing his charisma and playful energy to the long-running quiz show. Osman praised Sheen as a “great choice” in an Instagram post, joking about handing over the show’s keys. House of Games continues its signature format with celebrities competing in games like Answer Smash for novelty prizes. Sheen also will host a new BBC investigative series on chemical contamination in his South Wales hometown.
