Max Strus made his 2025-26 season debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 15, 2026, after missing 67 games due to a broken left foot sustained in offseason training and requiring surgery.
He scored 24 points in 23 minutes against the Dallas Mavericks, hitting 6 of 7 three-pointers and becoming the first player since 1998 to score at least 15 points in a season debut after missing at least 60 games.
Despite his strong return, the Cavaliers lost 130-120.
Coach Kenny Atkinson praised Strus’s impact, and the team remains dealing with multiple injuries, including Jarrett Allen’s knee tendinitis and James Harden’s fractured finger.
