The LSU women’s basketball team earned a No. 2 seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and will host first- and second-round games at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, facing No. 15 seed Jacksonville on March 20. The Tigers, led by head coach Kim Mulkey in her fifth season, are in the Sacramento 1 Regional with top seeds UCLA, Duke, and Minnesota. This marks the first No. 2 seed since 2008, when LSU made its fifth consecutive Final Four. The team, with a 27-5 record and two First Team All-SEC players, is projected as a top-four seed.
