The 2026 Indian Open pickleball tournament, sanctioned by India’s national federation, will be the country’s first major private event with official rankings and a $50,000 prize pool.
The 2026 Indian Open pickleball tournament in Hyderabad, set for April 1–5, has been officially sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) as a PWR 1000 event, marking the first major private tournament in India to receive national federation approval.
Hosted at Crosscourts, the event will feature over 1,500 players from 19 countries across 56 categories and a $50,000 prize pool.
The partnership between the IPA and Global Sports integrates India’s largest private pickleball series into a unified national framework, establishing standardized rankings, consistent competition rules, and official player pathways.
Recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports as India’s sole governing body, the IPA now oversees future Global Sports events, aiming to strengthen the sport’s infrastructure, credibility, and long-term development.
