The country established over 276,000 local Biodiversity Management Committees, issued 3,556 International Certificates of Compliance—over 60% of the global total—and granted 12,830 access and benefit-sharing approvals.
The framework generated ₹216.31 crore in benefits, with ₹139.69 crore distributed to communities and traditional knowledge holders.
