A Bristol nursery worker, Nathan Bennett, was sentenced to 24 years in prison for sexually abusing five young children.

Nathan Bennett, 30, a nursery worker at Partou King Street in Bristol, was sentenced to 24 years in prison with a six-year extended licence for multiple sexual offences against five young children, two and three years old. He was convicted on eight charges, including rape and assault by penetration, and admitted to 13 additional charges. The case emerged after staff reported suspicious behavior, including prolonged lap-sitting and wearing trousers with crotch holes, and CCTV footage showed him placing his hands down a child’s trousers. The nursery was closed following his arrest. Bennett claimed he was emulating abuse he suffered as a child and denied sexual attraction to children. Judge William Hart labeled him an “incorrigible and dangerous paedophile,” emphasizing the betrayal of trust and lasting trauma inflicted on victims and families.
