Barton Gold starts 30,000-meter drilling at Tunkillia to boost gold/silver output and fast-track mining plans by 2026.
Barton Gold Holdings has started Phase 2 reverse circulation drilling at its Tunkillia Gold Project in South Australia, launching a 30,000-meter program to upgrade mineral resources and support a pre-feasibility study, ore reserve declaration, and Mining Lease application by end-2026.
The move follows a successful Phase 1 campaign that confirmed strong economics in high-grade areas of the S1 and S2 pits.
The project is projected to produce about 120,000 ounces of gold and 250,000 ounces of silver annually, with current metal prices boosting expected early profits.
Barton aims to convert all open pit mineralisation to JORC Measured and Indicated categories to accelerate financing and development, working with the South Australian Government to fast-track progress.
