Vitoria Barreto, a 30-year-old psychologist missing since March 3, 2026, has had her laptop recovered in Brightlingsea, confirmed by her family on Mother’s Day. Police believe she was last seen boarding a number 87 bus in Southend and captured on CCTV in Hurst Green around 2:30 p.m., wearing a dark coat, blue turtleneck, light blue jeans, and dark trainers with white soles. A tote bag was found on Copperas Road nearly 10 hours later. Authorities are searching the River Blackwater, Dengie Peninsula, River Crouch coastlines, and Mersea Island, and investigating a boat missing from Brightlingsea moorings, later found drifting near Bradwell-on-Sea. Her black rucksack, phone, bank cards, and buoyancy aid remain unaccounted for. The public is urged to report any suspicious items and contact police immediately.
