USC lands top 2027 safety Honor Fa'alave-Johnson, a five-star athlete and California's No. 1 player, in a major recruiting coup.
USC has secured the commitment of five-star safety Honor Fa'alave-Johnson, the No. 1 athlete in the 2027 class and top-ranked player in California, in a major recruiting win for head coach Lincoln Riley. The 6-foot, 175-pound versatile athlete, who played multiple positions in high school, chose USC over top programs including Oregon, Texas, Notre Dame, and Miami. His pledge strengthens USC’s 2027 class, now ranked seventh nationally, and marks the program’s highest-ranked safety signee since 2013. The Trojans also have commitments from several top-ranked recruits, including a five-star wide receiver and defensive backs, solidifying their status as a national recruiting powerhouse despite having only five early commitments.
