Three shootings in Winnipeg and Saskatoon in early March 2026 resulted in three deaths, with no arrests made.
A 21-year-old man, Jeremiah Riley Bateman, died on Feb. 14, 2026, after being shot in Winnipeg’s West End, prompting police to treat the case as a homicide.
In a separate incident on March 12, two people, including a teenager, died after a shooting in Winnipeg’s Boyd Avenue area, also under investigation.
A third shooting in Saskatoon early on March 14 resulted in a man’s death, marking the city’s second homicide of 2026.
No arrests have been made in any of the cases, and police in both cities are urging the public to provide information, including video footage, to help solve the crimes.
