"Flower and Flour," a new ABC Kids animated series premiering March 16, follows a seven-year-old girl and her imaginary flour-bag cat in a multicultural family-run restaurant in Western Sydney, drawing from creator Romy Konigseder’s childhood experiences.
The 39 seven-minute episodes blend everyday family life with imaginative storytelling, addressing themes like dementia and cultural identity.
Created with her husband Dan Mansour, the show reflects immigrant working-class experiences, features a diverse cast, and includes input from their children.
It airs on ABC Kids at 7:45 PM and launches in Canada.
