The NCAA revealed the 16 opening-weekend hosts for the 2026 Women’s Basketball Tournament a day before the bracket announcement, including top seeds UConn, UCLA, South Carolina, and Texas, along with Duke, Iowa, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, TCU, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia. The move, intended to improve logistics and fan engagement, allows schools and broadcasters more time to prepare. Regional rounds will be held at neutral sites in Fort Worth, Texas, and Sacramento, California, for the fourth straight year. The Final Four will be in Phoenix on April 3 and April 5.
