The operation, conducted on March 12, revealed a network of 22 employees posing as a research firm, using WhatsApp and phone calls to lure victims with promises of high returns.
Funds were directed to 18 bank accounts linked to the operation.
At least five cyber fraud complaints from across India have been tied to the scam.
A case has been filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and investigations continue into the fraud’s scope and additional suspects.
