Iran warns U.S. bank branches in Gulf may be targeted in retaliation for strikes on its banks.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that attacks on U.S. bank branches in the Gulf could escalate if additional Iranian banks are struck by U.S. or Israeli forces.
The threat follows recent airstrikes on Iranian financial institutions, including Bank Sepah, which caused casualties and disrupted services.
The IRGC stated that all U.S. bank branches in the region could become targets in retaliation.
This follows a broader escalation beginning February 28, when U.S.-Israeli strikes killed senior Iranian officials, prompting daily Iranian missile and drone attacks on Israeli and U.S. military sites.
Iran has also urged evacuation of U.S.-linked industrial assets after attacks on non-military factories killed civilian workers, citing a shift in enemy tactics.
