Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta urged graduates at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh’s 9th Convocation to adopt a 'Nation First' mindset, stressing that education should cultivate values, social responsibility, and national duty.
Speaking alongside Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, he highlighted the university’s progress under the National Education Policy 2020, including research, skill-based learning, and efforts to preserve linguistic heritage through Punjabi and Dogri translations.
He noted 23 of 32 gold medalists were women, crediting the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' initiative, and praised the institution’s autonomy as recognition of its academic excellence.
