Gujarat extends aid program deadline to Dec. 31, 2025, for animal shelters, and launches 500 natural farming hubs.
Gujarat has extended the registration deadline for its Mukhyamantri Gaumata Poshan Yojana to December 31, 2025, allowing more cow and animal shelters to access daily financial aid of Rs 30 per animal.
The change, approved by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, removes a previous March 31, 2022, cutoff, enabling newer institutions to qualify starting April 1, 2026.
Since 2022–23, the state has disbursed Rs 1,364 crore for over 4.5 lakh animals across 1,600 shelters.
In a separate initiative, Gujarat plans to designate 500 villages as natural farming hubs, providing farmers with training, advisory services, and market access to promote chemical-free agriculture and sustainable practices.
