The federal government has sought a stay on a court order requiring review of Sabah’s 40% net revenue entitlement, citing ongoing negotiations and the need to verify historical revenue data from the "Lost Years." Minister Mustapha Sakmud confirmed the suspension does not affect Sabah’s constitutional rights under Articles 112C and 112D or the Malaysia Agreement 1963. The appeal, set for March 31, 2026, aims to prevent contempt proceedings while both sides work toward a resolution. Revenue data from 2007 to 2025 has been shared since November 2025.
