Delhi High Court to hear urgent case March 15 on alleged illegal detention of student Lakshita Rajora by Delhi Police.
The Delhi High Court has scheduled an urgent hearing on March 15 for multiple habeas corpus petitions seeking the immediate production of students allegedly detained illegally by the Delhi Police.
One petition, filed by advocate Deeksha Dwivedi on behalf of Sagrika Rajora, seeks the release of her sister, Lakshita Rajora, 22, who has been untraceable since the evening of March 13 after being last seen at the BSCEM office in Vijay Nagar near Delhi University.
The plea alleges she was abducted by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell, citing a prior incident eight months earlier involving unlawful detention and custodial torture.
The petition claims a coordinated, unrecorded raid may have occurred, with others present also missing, and demands the court order searches of suspected detention sites, preservation of CCTV footage, and legal action if unlawful detention is confirmed.
The case will be heard by a division bench of Justices Navin Chawla and Ravinder Dudeja at 12 noon.
