Archaeologists in Afghanistan’s Baghlan province found two 2,000-year-old Kushan Empire sites with artifacts and structures.
Archaeologists in Afghanistan’s Baghlan province have discovered two ancient sites dating to the Kushan Empire, around 2,000 years ago, in the Baghlan-e-Markazi district.
The findings include mud-brick and rammed-earth walls, ash-grey pottery fragments, and bone remains, consistent with Kushan-era artifacts.
Confirmed through preliminary surveys with national experts, the sites bring the total registered historical sites in the province to about 120.
