Uttarakhand's CM launched a major farmers' fair, unveiling new agricultural policies and funding.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the 119th All India Farmers Fair in Pantnagar on March 14, 2026, highlighting government schemes like PM-Kisan, which supports over 900,000 state farmers, and announcing ₹25 crore for crop protection fencing.
He unveiled a ₹1,200 crore apple policy, ₹200 crore for polyhouses, and support for dragon fruit and aroma valleys.
Fruit production rose 2.5%, with the state ranking fifth in mushrooms and eighth in honey.
The state budget of ₹1.11 lakh crore includes major agricultural allocations, and farmers gained access to higher Kisan Credit Card limits and interest-free loans up to ₹3 lakh.
The fair featured over 350 stalls and drew 20,000 daily visitors.
