UK recalls 42,000 My Living Worm World toys over asbestos risk in sand; no injuries reported.
Approximately 42,000 My Living Worm World toy sets sold in the UK between November 2022 and February 2026 are being recalled due to potential asbestos contamination in the included sand.
The recall, issued by manufacturer Playmonster and distributors TJ Jones and Hobbycraft, is a precaution as asbestos is banned for its health risks, even at low exposure levels.
No injuries have been reported.
Parents are advised to stop using the product, seal sand-filled parts in a double-bagged plastic bag, and return them for a full refund at the point of purchase, including JG Jones and Toys-R-Us locations.
The product fails to meet safety regulations, and the recall may expand to include additional retailers.
