Two Queensland M1 crashes early Saturday injured multiple people, with one driver in critical condition.
Two crashes on Queensland’s M1 corridor early Saturday morning caused multiple injuries and traffic delays. A Toyota ute struck a bridge pylon at Eagleby around 1am, injuring the 24-year-old driver, who was stable, and a 23-year-old passenger with life-threatening injuries. Eight paramedic units responded, and the Forensic Crash Unit investigated. About two hours later, a head-on collision between a Mazda CX7 and Kia Sportage at Yatala left the 28-year-old Mazda driver in critical condition. Northbound lanes were briefly closed but reopened by 9am. No cause was given for either crash.
