Oman’s tourism revenue from charter flights hit OMR30M in 2025, with rising passenger numbers and airport traffic through early 2026.
Oman’s charter aviation sector generated over OMR30 million in tourism revenue in 2025, driven by 588 flights and about 93,000 passengers from markets including Poland, the Czech Republic, and Italy, with growing interest from Russia and Belarus.
By January 2026, airport passenger traffic rose 8.8% to 1.45 million, including a 7.2% increase at Muscat International Airport and a 19.2% rise at Salalah Airport.
Domestic flights grew 14.4% at Muscat, while Sohar Airport saw an 80% jump in flights.
Omani nationals were the top travelers at Muscat, followed by Indians and Pakistanis.
The government continues promoting beachfront hotel investments and sustainable tourism, supported by expanded electric vehicle charging stations in Muscat.
